An uneven idle can cause the clutch to reach out and touch the drum, like a little bell....

My MM 372's have that pinging sound and idle like dirt bikes have.[/
That's kind of the sound I'm hearing. I miss my old KX250.now, lol.
Brought it to the dealer and he heard what I was hearing. Totally normal Empty can sound.
I changed the plug last night and leaned the L screw a bit. Stumbling gone. Saw kicks ace!! Best purchase in a long time.
Thanks again for all the replies. Somewhat of a rookie issue I suppose but better safe than sorry.
Not yet. Maybe after the warranty expires or I get bored with it.Did you muff mod it?
Yes, XT. Don't know if I specified but the sound is at idle. Ya, crushes my 359 and it's far from broken in.Is the 372 an x-torq ?
If it is, the strato saws do have a distinct sound when idling and running.
Sound very different than normal saw from what i have noticed.
My 372 XT is one mean saw
