Ok, I decided to make my water lines from scratch.
I found some 8"x10' SDR-35 pipe for $1 per foot. That kind of made my mind up on how to do it.
The pex is insulated individually with the black foam. Then wrapped with stretch wrap. After that I wrapped it all with a 4' width of foil faced double bubble insulation and did the stretch wrap again.
At the widest point it is only 6", so I have room to add some fiberglass insulation to fill the 8" pipe.
Here is some pics of my progress so far. It's going slow but should be ready for next heating season.
