If anyone hasn't watched this one they need to - amazing footage - complete with the slo-mo replay of the guy getting OWNED by the tree. It doesn't look like he was killed, but I have money on a really sore back and possibly a broken rib or two. No idea about the damage the wife might do as well.

I cracked my monitor trying to shove a file through it. Why does every complete moron that knows nothing about cutting trees do it with a dull chain and feel the need to video it. Its like nails on a chalkboard. The title of this thread is perfect, I can't believe he did not get wiped out on the ladder. Oh well, maybe next time.

Ya the dull chain kills me too.

Just think guys, if this guy killed himself, it likely wouldn't be on youtube, and we'd have nothing to talk about. He did us a favour.

No Crime

The old wood tick was a lot more enjoyable to watch, than a gratuitous vid of some hotshot cuttin' cookies with his bad to the bone saw! Give the old man a break, he was persistent at least, heck he did the job under pretty adverse conditions. So he can't file a chain, he's got some large Huevos.

I'd have paid to see

that tree take out the house at the end. Or take that moran out when he walked straight into the felling path denoted by the notch. Then again, the way that guy cut his notch and back cut, he could probably count on the felling path being the safest escape route.

Next video I bet he's got a bigger saw so he can cut faster!

I just don't know what to say even on this one:

"my grass cutter named Rob cutted our tree down so i just want to show you the footage " You really have to listen to the comentary to appreciate it!

CORRECTION (That is how 95% of non-expereinced people cut down Trees). NOT JUST AMERICANS. Sorry that pissed me off alittle.:buttkick:

I'm an American and damn proud of our country. I'm not saying anything bad about America. How many experienced cutters do you think there are in America? Not saying that only AS members know how to fell trees and there is a lot of them that would be classed moderately skilled, but AS only makes up about .015% of the population. Yes there are A LOT more experienced guys out there, but honestly how many do you think there are? Non-experienced means you don't know what the hell you are doing at all. Beyond that there are varying degrees of experience on up to pro. I see A LOT of stumps that look like that and worse. I wasn't saying anything bad about America, but I am not going to bring other countries into that because I am not from there so have no experience there. Look at how many yahoos post vids of themselves thinking they are doing a great job. Now how many do the same but don't post a vid. Seriously, nearly every damn stump I see around here has a sloping backcut or looks like hell. I work my ass off everyday to scratch out a living and I see a lot of stumps that look like that or worse. I work outside when its 90 degrees or 15 below felling trees or whatever else I have to do for my company. I know what is out there. I've seen tree service stumps and supposed professionals work that looks like that around here too. I know there are plenty of guys that know what the hell they are doing, but I would say they are fewer and farther between than you would think. Your idea of experience sounds a whole lot different than mine. Honestly there may be just as many yokels in Australia or Canada or where ever felling trees the same ugly way, but I can't speak for that. It had nothing to do with bashing America.

Neg rep for that, seriously? Just Ridiculous.

That electric saw kinda sounds like Stihl Sawings latest CAD addition.

Ignorance is bliss.

i posted the following reply

idiots with a dangerous tool and video lol!!!!
no brain bucket and no chaps. i feel sorry for the sawz they need a new owner that will not abuse them. this is a prime example of cheap people that hire a hack with a chain saw instead of a licensed and insured professional company.

they replied

"And, highcountrytimber and you're an expert on safety???!!! Your video on chain sharpening is a not a good example of the use of safety equipment either (e.g. Safety guards were removed for clarity of the video). "Always wear ear and eye protection" except when highcountrytimber produces a video-right? I also liked how YOU modified your factory 32" Sthil? Did you know that your modifications defeat the UL safety listing of this saw? Take a look at yourself before calling someone idiots."

check it out we have been violating UL safety Standards by modifying our chainsaws:laugh:

these type of people crack me up

Yea... I've seen some home owners do stupid stuff like that and I almost always get the reply "I know what I'm doing" from them when I mention it. They won't listen to someone that knows what they're doing, and go along on their merry way.:bang:

Natural selection is a heck of a concept. I wish more people would learn from the examples of stupid people. It seems like there's way more than enough out there.

Dull chain? He probably had it on backwards! I guess it doesn't matter much if you have a large enough saw? :chainsawguy:

I say that stupid is as stupid does and if the knuckleheads won't listen to reason, they won't live long enough to pass on their traits.

Been trying to find this one to add as well, this is, well, it is what it is.

Great

This thread has really made my day better to come home from a long day at work and watch people do stupid stuff with chainsaws who needs America's funniest home videos when you have this i could sit here and watch it all day. This thread is great i think we should devote and entire thread to this type of stuff and have everyone just post all of the stupid stuff they see(video's) people doing or have done themselves when cutting down a tree or with chainsaws. It just brings a smile to my face to see this type of stupidity and I'm sure it does to yours to so lets continue.

That was just sad, I was embarrassed for the guy. A 32cc saw? Looked a little underpowered for the job (but then again isn't it always?)

I like how he punched the trunk after all the hammer, prybar and saw work failed.

Huevos! Huevos! [ Said in the tone of voice like Jim Mora talkin about the play-offs]

This is all way too funny. I liked how mister electric never missed a drag on his smoke even though his huevos were probably somewhere in his craw. Then when the guy dropped the one into the wires. I kept expecting to hear,'' lets clean up this mess before the cops get here.'' Great stuff!

I saw a truck nip a pole on a sharp bend once. Those wires spun that pole 4 times each direction for a good 2 minutes. Very dangerous. I'm glad the innocent girls filming that fiasco didn't get killed even though they thought they were outta harms way across the street. I'm betting that cutter only had the typical landscapers insurance that only covers trees that are 20 ft tall or whatever and the homeowners insurance said '' you signed a waiver releiving us of all responcability.'' Wonder who payed that bill?

Seriously, if I were a tree cutter, I would make a montage of these vids to show to potential customers whenever I were bidding, and say,'' this is what the lowest price may get you. Are you counting on your homeowners to cover you?''
