Another compression question (ms261)

Semi-reviving the month old thread.

I pulled the muffler and had a look. It looks like a new piston in there. I did not do any kind of pressure test on it. I feel like I'm chasing a ghost.
I'm going to do some research on it and may delete the base gasket depending on if this is "acceptable" on this saw. I may leave it alone. It is my favorite saw, and runs great.

I thought my 261 took a heck of a long time to break in. It was all good though, since it implies good metal and good lube. Run it like you stole it. Ps thanks for your service!
