I’ve been wanting some air tools and stumbled across a local add while looking for Shindaiwa stuff. The guy had a bunch of used air tools, a floor jack, and this Shindaiwa 488 chainsaw.
Picked them all up for $120 so I don’t think I did too bad. It was a bit dirty but the saw fired right up. It is an epa model with the non adjustable carb. Not my first choice but I have one other like it and they seem to run fine. I can always throw another carb on it if needed.
Swapped out the 16” bar it had for an old 18” I had.
