Anyone know what type of Maple this is?

Got this Maple off of CL, and I am a noob to firewood. Please help me out.

It's one of the best kinds..free and it burns. The only stuff better comes free, it burns, and is already split. Good luck finding some!

Actually I don't,The op's pics wood look red Just like the RED MAPLE I cut last year. In your pics the wood is a golden maple syrup color just like the Sugar Maples I cut all day long. :sword:

Sure doesn't look like Sugar (aka Rock) Maple, IMHO. From the branching, bark and wood, it looks very much like Silver Maple. Sorry 'bout that. It'll burn; big splits will burn longer.

Yep to me it looks like both red and sugar.
Bet it's from 2 trees.

That's exactly what all of my Sugar's look like. I am surrounded by them.
