A while back, I viewed a 3pt Log splitter that had a round splitter knife on the end of the beam. Pusher block sent the log to the round knife. It wasn't completely round of course, welded to the beam and had a bit of a backer to it. Looked as though it may have been an old Disc off of a field Discing attachment. I didn't have a tractor at the time that could develop hydro to run it, so I passed on it.

I ask, because I can see the thought process in having a round knife, but I dont know if it was a production splitter or Homemade.

I've seen a few home made ones for tractors around here. Safety wasn't an issue then, as they taught common sense back then.
