Looks good brad.

Do you have a part number handy for the spikes?

Is the roller catcher the same as the 660/460/440?

Hey how come no Front on pics?

You mean like this?

Nice and clean! You'll notice the oil adjuster grommet that's on backorder. Also, the chipped starter is borrowed.

Time for a question. Is this a Stihl handle or aftermarket? I want a full-wrap handle on it, but this one would require hacking up my new bar cover. I might be willing to do that if this is an OEM setup. I like the double-stacked tubes on the bottom. That would elevate the bottom of the case and help keep it from getting chewed up:rolleyes:

That looks just like the OEM, but mine doesn't require any modification to the side cover.

Where is the problem?

Thanks Steve. It's the same spike, inner and outer. PN 1124 664 0506. The chain catcher is a different part#. PN 1124 650 7700. 460/660 PN is 1122 650 7700.

Thanks. Figured the spikes were the same (inner and outer). They look a tad better than the east coast little spikes. Are they 084 spikes or 088/880's?

You got a red air filter cover too? lol. Wish stihl would get their act together and get the right color pigment.

I noticed the air filter knob looks like the old style. Is it? or just the pic? I prefer the newer style knob better, but it is just a knob. lol My cover came with the knob already on it.....good thing I ordered the knob also

Those are from the 084 IPL. May be the same as the 088, but I haven't checked.

The twist lock is borrowed off an old cover. I have a new one on order.

I know the problem...
That handlebar only works with the older style cover.... Top of pic...

That sucks. I like this handle. But I'm not done yet. I was able to install it with the bar cover already on. The cover would be out a little farther it it had a bar in there.

It's actually touching. There's no way to remove the cover without removing the handle.

I imagine I could mod the cover to work just like the OEM 045/056 setup. I'm just not sure I'm ready to grind on a pricey new cover. Here's a shot of my 045 Super and this is an OEM setup.

Why grind to make it not factory??? The value is in the orginality...

You might just have to choose one of these...

If you're worried about scratching the bottom, make a plastic block and screw it to the bottom handle mount.

I've called any contacts I'm aware of that may have a used 3/4-wrap handle. Nothing. So I called the dealer this morning. A new one will cost me $110. A 1/2-wrap, only $60. What would you do? Which handle looks most appropriate on the saw?
