bar swap question(s)

I have a 576xp with 20" and 24" bars. I *think* the bars are .050" 3/8". I want to upsize to a 395xp. The 395 has a 3/8 chain but does it care what the guage is? Is that just a bar thing? I want to sell my 576 but keep atleast my 20" bar for the 395 and buy the 395 with a 28 or 32 but if those bars are .058" guage do I have to swap other stuff?

One can run an .050 chain in a .058 bar.

Kind of hard to do it the other way around.

Drive sprocket is not gauge specific if that is your question.
