Please Help. What trees and plants will grow and survive near black walnut trees in the mid-atlantic states (USA)?
I would like to plant weeping willows and day lilly. But unsure?
Have tried pine trees and some scrubs in past with no luck.

I've seen willow around walnut, not sure of the lilly.

I do know that the worst plants are in the nightshade family, tomatoe, potato, peper...

If it is the common "road lily" you want, they are cheep, so just try them out. One can dig in many a roadside ditch around here and get them for the effort.
