This past weekend I accidently broke a fin off of the flywheel of my 036 Stihl while torqueing the clutch down. I heard that if you remove the fin directly on the otherside of the first broken one, that it will be fine. Is this true or must I replace the entire assembly?

One broken fin isn't going to make your saw run "unbalanced". It's a very small percentage of the total weight of the flywheel. Leave it alone.
