Not sure who here is familiar with Jade trees, but I have a huge one as a houseplant and it is slowly but surely dying. I find each week or so that a new limb has become very soft to the touch. When I cut it off, the inside is like mush and dark brown in color. I then pulled that limb out from the dirt and it is dead right down to the roots. I have read about rot in jade plants and it seems to be that it happens with too much water. However, I hardly ever water mine - may be once every couple of months. The other thing I was thinking is not enough sunlight. So though it is early in season, I just put it outside today to get direct sunlight. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this was a great gift from my wife a few years ago. Thanks!
