Bucking Spikes

Hey fellas, havent been on here in quite some time.

So i have a question, have any of you ever made your own bucking spikes? I'm a mechanical engineer by trade and use solid works for design work. I also work for a company that owns a laser cutter. SWEET! I was thinking about modeling up my own version of bucking spikes to mount to one of my STIHL saws. not sure which one yet but one of em.

Any one ever do this sorta thing?

I bought a new MS461 half wrap model, I didn't like the OEM spike. So I made my own pattern and laid it on a 1/8" stainless steel plate and whittled it out, then polished it.

It looks nice but the work I put into it wasn't so nice, about 10 hrs.! That stuff is HARD.
