This saw appears to have 2 oiler ports, so Im confused. the lower one with there "keyhole" shape seems to put out oil. the upper one, where I would expect ti to oil does not! would prefer to hear from those who are familiar with this saw, as opposed to those who are talking out their IMG_2957.jpeg *ss

The keyhole is the vent for the oil tank. The black rubber passage feeder above it that runs left to right is the feed to the bar.

Check the screen on the end of the hose inside the oil tank. May be clogged and/or the oil pump may have a blockage.

So it’s not supposed to come out of the keyhole. ? Maybe the saw is inside out! Cuz it seems to be coming out the keyhole.

Some oil will leak out the vent when the oil tank is plum full. When oil level drops, it should stop leaking from the vent. Kind of a cheap and easy vent setup really. Just a plastic tube with a roll pin stuck in the end. Roll pin is hallow.

sucked up my courage and pulled the oil to run uspump. Looks like previous owner ran used motor oil, maybe the pump clogged up , couldn’t spin freely and broke the plastic splines? Another reason not to use old motor oil

The keyhole has a duckbill valve for tank vent, and should have sintered brass screen in front to keep sawdust out of the valve; probably leaking due to trash in valve? Another good trick is keep paintbrush handy and sweep caps/ area clean before fueling/ oiling to keep chips out of tanks.
