Contract Climbing Starting up help

I am curious if there are any contract climbers on here that may have some wisdom they could spare as I am just starting out in the contract realm of tree care. Big questions would be reasonable day rates, and if anyone has had any luck with traveling for work.

I think there is a treestuff webinar on contract climbing.

It's a tough business but might be a good way to get started and build up equipment towards a full service company.
