Looks like poor quality o-ring. Randy, do you use and o-ring lube when you put them back together? Parker makes some good o-ring conditioner. My guess is this saw was like this when you took it apart..?

they have changed the design and on new saws youll not have to worry about it anymore. those are the old design. i have warrantied several of them.

Who makes the cylinder for husqvarna?

My guess is the employee at the cylinder plant gives zero fuc...s about putting in the o ring.

Same jack ass must put the oil lines on the pump too? Swedish rubber sucks, always has....I worked at a Volvo dealer back in a different life. Pass the kraut!

Its lame that you have to buy a damn jug just because of those o rings.
I love to work in my forrest with the JRed 2253, but when it comed to fix a saw I prefer the good old 2xx serie.
