Recently a fella up here sold me his 460. Completely stock, and after a few parts it is running pretty well. Dual port muffler is the only "mod".

I had a bunch of blocks to cut up in a hurry, so I strolled into the shop and pulled down the "snellerized" 460 and got after the task at hand. Got a decent chain on it and flying along like nuts (Thanks again, Brad). Ran two full tanks thru it, and a little to go, cranked the stock 460 for 1/2 a tank. runs good, pulls good. chains are almost identical.
I would say the difference is 15% Mostly in RPM, but the ported one has a smirch more torque.

anyway, I had my fun, and really should run the warmed up one more often.

I think the worse the saw is to begin with the bigger gains there's to be had from porting... My 65's got somewhere around 30-50% gain, depending on what parameter and which version of porting you're looking at... I can't bear to pick up the stocker anymore.
