Greetings, I have enjoyed reading on this website and have been wanting to know if there are other types firewood being used that are as wonderfully fragrant when burning like the White Birch is. Red Cedar is nice but nothing like the Birch. Its also pleasing to look at with its papery white bark and its a very heavy wood even when dry. To catch a waft of it when outside and its in the wood stove burning is remarkable.

Cherry

I've always enjoyed the smell of wild cherry, especially when spitting and when burning. Doesn't heat as good as apple does. and i 2nd the apple aroma is wonderful as well.
