My new husky 576xp arrived tonite and when I put it together I noticed there was no bar protector ... is this normal ???

They don't come with one and a lot of folks never use one. I don't.

Our local dealer has a pile of bar protectors that customers didn't take with them. You might check yourlocal dealers and see if you can find one at a reduced price.

Check the Husky dealer. Mine has scabbards for $4.99.

It is called a "bar scabbard". And screw protecting the chain, I like them because they protect my flesh, and my kids flesh, and my clothes, and my car seat, and everything else.

Just ask your dealer to throw one in when you go buy a chain or bar. Mine had no problem tossing me one when I bought a bar and chain.
