Hello,

Does anyone know where the metal fragments came from in the bottom right corner of this picture?

I bought a used 046 and it wasn't feeling right and the sprocket drum was ringing.

I opened it up and this is what I found I also think the oiler gear has a piece broken off the end and the clutch drum will not turn the oiler

Thank you
Mike

Haha lol thanks man the worm gear was to short to get caught by the drum groove. But the reason I asked was because it only looked like just a cm was missing

Yup, that's what it should look like.

The clutch drum has notch in it for that arm to hook into to run the oiler, so when you drop the drum back on make sure it catch's the arm .

Here is a video of the clutch drum with play.

Here is a pictures of the clutch and the Worm Drive

So I believe chainsaw jim was right those are pieces of a clutch spring but it looks like the clutch was repaired also it looks like the outside of the oil pump is scarred up. You cant even read the numbers on it.

Everything just feels loose

Also the end of the worm drive no matter what I do it won't hook into the drum.

I will try to get the pictures a little later I have church soon. Happy Easter everyone. Then I am helping my grandpa build a chicken coop. Thanks for all the information so far.

It seems to me even if I bend the oil worm there will still be play in the drum. The drum is supposed to grab the very end of the worm right?

As of now when the drum spins sometimes it spins the elbow of the worm.

Well it helps that I actually watched the video, ya that bearing is hooped, replace it. Can we get a pic of the end of the crank to see that it's ok, please.
