Factory service manual for the Echo CS-900EVL states 5500-8500rpm operating speed. 2200-2800rpm idle.

The first plug posted was to "New"

A new plug is hard to read. It needs to have some deposits on it to hold any color..
Put an old plug back in to do a mixture reading.

This plug hasn't been in my cs-900 too long probably 5 tanks. I did a muffler mod and adjusted carb what do you think? I though maybe alittle lean

I dont run mine that lean but not far from it, a little tan is what I like to see or darker.

You can tell how the exhaust sounds also- too crisp be carefull!

Depends on the conditions you ran the saw at last mainly when checking though.

i also dont think reading used plugs would be as benificial as reading new plugs.

old used plugs have built up color on them.

i dunno though but id sure run richer i bet like that id doesnt burble at WOT at all.
