Difficult one chucker. I think it is on it's way to becoming the best saw ever made but still has a long road ahead. Only when it has started to be accepted by a heap of pros can we claim that.
If you put a heap of saws in a room and asked guys to run them all when they had never touched a chainsaw before you may find the 7900 is the most popular
You know I love my 7900's mate (I have 3) but I tell you what, those 390XP's are an awesome saw as well (I have 2)...

when did they come out with the 7900s? to me the Best saw has to be bullit proof for years and years. I know loggers that will pass up the fastest cutting saw for one that will hold up over the years.

They need to come with the HD filter kit standard and make them prettier to be more widely accepted, then they will be a little closer to the title.
ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!, and here's why; perfect combination of performance(power, av handeling), longevity, weight and price....Not to mention mod potential and ease of working on. There are saws out there that beat it in some categories, but none beat it in all
(and don't forget the Makita, I like it better than the 681, just because of the feel)
