Echo 590 in cold weather

A friend has an Echo 590, in cold weather
should he richen up the mixtures, flip the cold weather lever or both?
Depends on how it runs. If it runs fine I wouldn't mess with the tune but likely he will have to adjust it just a bit at least for the Low side. If it is really cold, not like here in SC I would flip a winter shutter as well if it has one.

Fine tuning for the temp, air quality, etc should be done on all saws on a if/as needed basis. I typically don't have to mess with my CS-590, but do have to fatten up my PB-200 leaf blowers in the colder months then trim them back down again when the hot/humid weather returns.......Cliff
