Echo CS305 decent carving saw?

I have recently acquired an Echo CS305 that I now have running well. Is this a saw commonly used for carving? It's pretty light and with only 30cc isn't gonna clear a forest. Wondering where its niche is.
Note: I am not personally interested in carving, just wondering about this particular saw.

I haven't used that one myself, but there is a 1/4 spur available for it and it is a nice size for that. A lot were probably sold to "acreage owners".

While it is low on power, I noticed it has pretty good control due to the pretty long distance between the top and rear handle. A real light thing too.
