Economic Stimulus Work

How about it, is anyone going through the various sized and misshapen hoops to get some of these jobs.

Specifically, I am talking about federally funded projects filtering down to different agencies.

We've gone for a couple and the process of bidding is definitely involved. So far we still just looking and bidding.

We are not.

But the stimulus thing is sort of weird - maybe odd.

Someone asked me to be an alternate "public at large" member for an Opal Creek Recreational Area committee.

When I visited a meeting to see what all they discuss, one subject was stimulus money. The rangers said they were asked to put together a list of stuff that they could do and spend money on.

Can't explain why it sounded so odd - but it did. Probably because I'm not used to the government agencies around here looking to do so much with a credit card type way of doing business.
