I am slowly working my way into the 21 century. I recently purchased a infrared thermometer and this thing is not worth what I payed for it.(Harbor freight) Anyway, can someone point me into the proper direction as to what the ideal temperature of the muffler (my 028) after a full power burn? This one I have is telling me 675 F.I tested it with a kettle of boiling water and it was reading 275 F Does anyone even use one of these? If so what brand and price? Thanks, Ken
Note, I also plan to use this while cooking my brisket, pork shoulder ext.
