EHAP Electrical Hazards Awareness Program
TCIA’s Electrical Hazards Awareness Program (EHAP) has trained thousands of arborists involved in line clearance and those working on residential properties near energized lines. It is widely recognized as the industry training standard to help comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269 regulations. Topics focus on training requirements that serve as a prerequisite for working within 10 feet of an electrical conductor. Participants will learn about identifying electrical system components, the presence and nature of electrical hazards, protective measures available, and common unsafe acts to avoid. This course is appropriate for line clearance arborists, LCA trainees and residential commercial arborists. Accompanying TCIA EHAP materials (a retail value of $135) will be provided at no additional charge. Lunch is included.
