Farmertec shipping cost?

Has shipping costs really gone this crazy? It's been a few years since I bought anything from Farmertec but $30.00 shipping for a $10 guide bar? Shipping to Canada has always been a bit high but I gave them a shipping address in the USA (Texas) and this was the cost. Might be cheaper to ship to the west coast but don't know anyone there.

It cost me $23 to ship a o-ring to China in a very small bubble wrap envelope. Guessing 2 years ago.

It would cost me that to send you a bar from here I bet.

Put an order in last week for a number of small parts I go through on a regular basis , total was double with the shipping added on plus it was all in Canadian dollars and when I got the total it was in U.S.$ with out me knowing it so that adds on an extra 30%- last time I order from them.

You guys in great white north do know there are several dealers up there with stock and even Farmertec has a Canadian warehouse to order from. That way shipping cost has already been tacked on like they do in US.

They have a very high minimum shipping charge that doesn't change much as you add more parts. Forecast what you need for the next five years and order it all at once. Otherwise, as suggested above, order from one of their North American agents.

Ordered JonCutter G4500 at USD 30 with chain and bar at USD 11.05 but shipping to Norway came at USD 104 without other shipping options.
