had some 30" white oak down and hadnt been able to get back for a couple of weeks. these were both standing dead diseased trees. this saw is a monster, eats oak like it was butter. cut in the rain most of the day but it was worth it just to get to get to run it for a while.
after running it for a few hours you do know you have had ahold of something, how you guys cut with big saw all day is beyond me, seems like your knuckles would drag the ground. ha ha...
weird about this saw, not really a rpm saw, just tons of grunt, i love it.
again, just the ravings of a lunatic.................later.................

A modern saw in the 70 to 85cc range is lighter than your 041 and will outcut it, that's part of the reason you could run a big saw all day. Back when your 041 was new it was fairly light and fast by comparason to its competition. Oh yeah, YOU'RE HOOKED!

041

I have seen grown men reduced to tears when their 20 or 30 year old 041 finally went to the great woods in the sky. I don't know of another model that has that kind of loyalty.
