Just bought a new home that has the ugliest fireplace I've ever seen so we're ripping all of it out and starting from scratch. Any suggestions on wood burning fireplace insert? Good sites to buy from? Key features to look for?

The only thing I know is I want a bigger one that my old home had and I want to run gas to it for help in starting the fire (most seem to have a knockout turn the gas line through so this is kinda moot). My former fireplace was a 36" and am going to at least a 42", maybe bigger if it will fit.

Don't know anything about them so any help is appreciated.

EDIT: By insert, I just mean the actual fireplace. I see the term insert used to describe what I'm talking about and also to describe a unit you set inside your fireplace that is somewhat like a stove which is not what I'm looking for. Thanks, sorry if my terminology is wrong, I just wanna burn some wood.. :)
