Now up here in the great white north, if you bugger the piston and sleeve on a MS291, the replacement parts are pretty close to a new saw. So, does anyone have options for my 'saw in a box'? Or am I just going to let it rest under the bench until some aftermarket parts appear? The jug is way beyond cleaning up, I tried.

I have a 291 in the same condition (in a box waiting for Hyway to make a piston).

Parts availability partly depends on if you have an old- or new-style 291. The old has a bolt-on intake...and, I believe, AM parts are more available.

I have the new-style saw...and, I think only Little Red Barn sells pistons.

I have the new style as well. Plus i need both the jug and the piston.
