Bought a Vermont Castings Sequoia III EPA - certified catalytic built-in. Advertised @ 82%. Around 4K w/ all the parts needed to install. Glad I got it though.. CA is starting their version of the " smoke police " in 2011. Can you believe we have to get permission from the Gov't to start up our fireplace!?

are their enough of people like you--to get those restrictions removed??? im thinking not,,since cali has a EXTREMELY large pop of wackos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's funny about some very expensive things is that the people who can afford these things don't use them!

Like they will buy a big fancy car which would be absolutely wonderful to take a long road trip in... But instead they fly!

Or those expensive kitchen ranges, refrigerators, etc. The people who buy these typically have maids and cooks and they never step foot in the kitchen!
