I'm not really interested either way, but curious. I think the 381 is available in Canada, so it could be the real deal, but why a new one selling here then?

Blowing up the pic, the bar looks like it says "Made in Brazil", which could be legit.

Stihl is manufacturing the MS-381 for other markets (i.e. Asia, Africa, Australia, South America...)

It's even on the Stihl OZ website, so it could be the real deal.
