Hardware stores must be an East Coast thing. None around here, just farm stores, discount auto parts and big box stores (at a distance).

Don't heat with wood anyway. We heat with biomass, Not certified seed corn and processed wood pellets. I give all the wood away to anyone that wants it.

Definitely not just an east coast thing. Even when brother lived in southern Arizona in a small old copper town that had almost nothing store wise had an ace hardware in the town. Our county isn’t that big and we have 6 hardware stores. No lowes or Home Depot in the county either.

I don't know how it works in the states, but here I know you would need a tax number to put on the receipt for the product you sold to the store.
