This made me laugh, bought an 026 from eBay spares / repairs, buyer said the clutch was faulty.....

Other than this, a carb kit and the usual horrible bar and chain it's a really good saw....

What's frightening is it came in an MS250 box so he's presumably bought a new saw.

This is the equivalent of the people that drive their car till the brake rotors are literally worn away to nothing from metal on metal.

Take it to the shop and claim that it never made a weird noise while braking...lol

I bought a pretty good cs 400 at a yard sale $40. Guy put a new bar and on it and said it would'nt turn the chain. Looked like that. I put a new sprocket on it and its been working wonderful.

I've had similar results on a lathe using a parting tool.

That's what happens when people don't know what a wear-and-tear item is. I bet the guy will flame the 026 - the engine was fine but the drive gear wore out after X years.

Wow got a little worn out? Call the saw abuse police. If that was a rim it would be split in half. Lol

We can’t stress maintenance enough. Worn out sprockets sucks the power from the saw.
