Will my Gibbs ascender work with a U.S. rigging 1/2 x 10'/W-Core/Sw-Snap/
Orange Coated Flipline? I'm pretty sure but better to ask than be sol.

The side of my Gibbs says "use only on non-metal rope" The flipline is wrapped w/ a strand rope? right?

i may be wrong, but i think that the gibbs will take up to 5/8" rope. i hardly ever use mine, so i can't remember.

Its not to be used on wire rope, another term for cable. The steel core on the flip line is inside the rope sheath it will be fine. Just check you have the right gibbs there is one for 1/2, and one up to 3/4" (will work on 5/8" flip line)
Get rid of the spring loaded pin and replace it with a grade 8 cap screw and self locking nut.
