Thats what my research has lead me to as well but the only was to really know which mine is, is by measuring the cylinder or figure out which flywheel its got as well as one having sprung dogs and the other doesnt. im guessing since i do not have the sprung dogs that ive got the 281?! my reason for needing to figure this out is im needing to order a new oil pump since mine has quit oiling on me while using it to mill out some rough planks of maple. oiling by hand sure makes things less convenient and rough on my bars too. i do plan on having it ported but when i do so im going to buy a new jug to have ported so everything is fresh when i tear it down to have the port work done. thanks everybody and stay safe out there!

im not sure if pumps are the same or not to tell you the truth.. and ok so the straw would be giving you the distance between the cylinder walls then using that to get your bores volume
