I was cutting a lot of wood today and I noticed that the chain did not cut well when I used it near the power head....using the "dogs" but it cut much better when I used the tip end. This is by no means a new chain but I try to keep it sharp and touch it up at every fueling. At first I thought it might be a loose chain so I tightened it up and that did not change anything. I then pulled the bar and filed the small burr that had formed hoping that might help. Nothing. I don't understand.

Has anyone else ever noticed this?

I haven't been like I should. Actually mentioned that to my friend that stopped by. i will check that out. Thanks.

I too think it is a bar issue, DL's possibly bottoming out at the most used area close to the PH!

I deepened the groove on my PS-6400 bar twice so far, only the area close to the PH was getting too shallow causing the DL's to bottom out and tip sideways.
