Looks like an elm

I concur with other responses that is looks like elm. To confirm this, try to get some leaves and twigs out of the rain gutter beneath the tree. Compare the leaves and twigs to a Winter Tree Finder. Mary and Tom Watts published one by that title, ISBN 0-912550-03-1. That tree sure needs some TLC!

Thanks for the advise. It's dying alright. It's coming down and the owner wants me to remove after the the tree service brings it down. I was hoping it was not a silver maple. Elm,yea not the best but it'll burn. I'll have to get some leaves and verify which type. Thanks.
