Been awhile since I been on here but just because I haven’t been messing with saws. Decided to spend a lil time with the 440.

Brings back lots of memories. I refurbished an MS440 about five years ago and sold it to a tree removal company. They have beaten it to death and it still runs. One time they dropped it from 50 feet up and I rebuilt it once again. I could not believe they ran it from that height with a 30" bar, but they did. The tree trunk they were cutting landed on the saw after it hit the ground first. Somehow the case and the top end survived. Not much else did, but it runs today.
