What would you guys say about transplanting trees from 8500ft to about 5000? Most guys I talk to don't have good results. The other problem is the spruce, pine, and conifers that would be harvested the root balls on a 12ft tree can only be about 2ft wide and 1ft deep due to the Rocky Mtn. soil (mostly rocks). I am thinking that this experiment isn't worth while. What do you think?
