i found a pair of hoffmans on the internet and was wondering if anyone
has ever tried a pair or if anyone has heard if they are any good

Have several pairs. Calked and vibrum soled "pole climbers". Only reason I have several pairs is because work paid for them. I have looked at many and found these to be great. Get a couple extra insoles. If your buying calked buy an extra set of calks. Once they are broken in they are like running shoes, even at 4.5 lbs each boot.

If you get them let me know how you like them and which one. I am thinking of buying some winter ones from them.

I have a pair of the felt highline pacs. They walk good and climb good. I also just got the 12" leather caulks. They are not broke in yet and fit very tight across my instep. Three others I work with have them and said the same. Two of them said that stopped once broken in. We all agree that they are comfortable to climb in. BTW I wear Wesco for primary wok boot.
