Hi,
While at a auction a while ago I was able to pick up a Homelite C-52 for $3!
I've been tinkering with it and I have a few questions. First off it will only run when you pour gas in the carb and then it will shut off when it runs out off the gas in the carb. Does it just need a carb kit? Also what should the hi and lo needles be turned out to? Do I still need to run it on gas mixed at 16:1 or can it be alittle leaner like 32:1? And lastly should this be run on 87 or 93 octane fuel. As you can tell I'm new to these old saws. Thank-You
Ryan

Rebuild the carb, set the screws to 1 turn out from lightly seated, and see how that goes. you can run a 32:1 mix in these saws, what grade of fuel you use, I dont know if it makes much difference, this isnt a high revving saw.
