OK guys, I run mostly older Homelites for firewood.

I have 3, 10-10 macs in very nice shape that I have gone through.

I have never cut with one of these, but hear they vibrate like heck.

how do they stack up to the XL-12/SXl power wise & vibration wise.

Any other pros & cons ??

I have cut a lot of wood with my XL'S, so I am very used to them.

I prefer the 10-10's. I like the way they fit and feel better. I own quite a few of each model saw in their various configurations. I drag out the old Macs on occasion but almost never the old XL-12s or SXLs. The smallest horizontal Homelite I enjoy is the 925. Some of the Mac 10-10's vibrate more than others and some were faster. The same can be said of the various Homelite configurations. Put them in wood and give them a try. They do vibrate much more than a modern saw but not enough not to use them. :hmm3grin2orange: You will look like that during and after use.
