About 40c (104F) in the shade here. Dry. 'Hoppers just started flying a few days ago.

What is a hopper?
Grasshoppers thrive in drought and heat. So far there are few in central USA, but July is still a week or so away. I used to use them for fish bait on occasion.
Hit 115 here yesterday, an all time record.
I bet that might slow the outdoor work down a bit.

Hot here too in the NE. Today was 98F add the humidity it was around 104F. Moved 150 second crop squares into the upper mow of the barn with 14 rounds into the main floor. It always works out that you are moving hay on the hottest damb day of the year. No AC here so a fan and a cold beer are all got. Hopefully it will cool off tomorrow afternoon.
It’s cicada and humidity season

I have some nice white bucktail spinners for trout.
Before my cancer hit I was 2 lbs from breaking the state record for lmb. I had bigger ones on the line but lost them, I started using inshore light saltwater tackle. These bass are too big to really set the hook with freshwater tackle.
