Oh darn... only way to fix that is to cut the chain, straighten it out and install a repair link. That's why you have to be so careful handling a chain!
Just as bad as the guys that unscrew their excavators by rotating them too many times in one direction.

Hey Mr Hippa pot umus- a preschooler or a trained monkey could figure that one out- can you help me with this one?
Now I think we've been trolled... I think that chain is staged, you can't get a chain knotted like that with both curls on the inside of the loop (unless there's a trick to it). Shenanigans!

Reverse the steps that got it tangled. And make sure a new one is not tangled, else you have to take to a shop or throw it away.
That's quantum entanglement. You might need the services of a particle physicist. ;<)
This is really puzzling the kind of troll that resides under a bridge is one thing and the trolling of fishing lures (using the motion of the boat the fisher person is in to make the lure or bait to travel) are different things. How can an internet troll be the former when doing the latter?
I hope the OP comes back with the solution or state trick question. I can get both loops on the outside or like in post 6 with a untangled loop.

Put the chain in a frying pan with some butter.Then stir fry for exactly 7 minutes.Allow to cool .
Voila! The chain has untangled by itself !
Smooth like buttah !

Just FYI, I've tried it and this does NOT work.
Make a Chinese bar to fit...problem solved.
Simple. That isnt jack to do.
I've had them with 4 plus of those before.
Now do it inside out and hand to someone.
