While we're on the subject of chain terminology...

Technically speaking those that use the term 'full comp' are generally mistaken also.
A true 'full compliment' chain has a cutter on every set of side plates.
Very rare to see, I've only heard of it being used by carvers.

Not sure what 'regular' chain is supposed to be called, 'cuz really it's full skip, full skip is really double skip, though I guess semi skip really is semi...
 
Umm, maybe so others know what you mean when you're talking about it or trying to buy/sell it...
I understand that, I should have prolly worded my statement differently.

P.S., I recently saw an 11" bar for a MS660, it looked homemade for cant racing. [emoji6]
 
I'm still waiting for someone to show me a picture of a round ground chisel
I'm still trying to figure out how a thread about short bars for a MS660 turns into a thread about chains.....

If this is not a pic of round ground chisel chain, could you please tell me what type/style of chain this is? I don't want to be misunderstood when I talk about chains.
