How to tell the age of a STIHL ms 250

I recently inherited a STIHL ms 250 saw, I was wondering when it was manufactured, on the front of the saw was a white tape with what I believe the serial number was on but has been ripped off any idea how to tell the age?

Not a good way anyhow. Don't really matter for ordering parts if you are concerned

The serial number is stamped on the case right next to the felling dawgs. It can be seen easier if the clutch/brake cover is removed.

Also the serial number will mean nothing to the average consumer. To tell the year you will have to ask Stihl.
