Long time fan, first time caller.. Haha.. Definitely facing some challenges between keeping my 3 story house warm with an old Jotul #3. I have to get up in the middle of the night to keep it burning. I've been holding out for years on an upgrade due to constant technological improvements, catalytic vs. non-cat, burn time vs. heat output, burning my own (free) green ash, seasoned oak mix, vs. pine mix, etc. Lots to consider when investing in a (hopefully) lifetime stove. I almost committed to a Pacific Energy Alderlea T4, but still looking for something with the same approximate burn times and efficiency for not quite as much $. Maybe impossible off the shelf, but very open to suggestions. Thanks in advance!
