Country Boy, If you law the saw with the clutch side down,and it stalls, this tells me that the starter rope side seal could be the culprit.If you set the saw on the starter side and continues running, then you may have narrowed the possibilities down.This can be difficult to trace.If you had an air compressor and were able to pressurise the crancase, then this may help you.If you can pressurise the saw, simpy get some dish soap and water, and place it around the seal. Bubbles will indicate a possible air leak. I learned this trick some time ago on this forum.
